The Five Most Effective Ways to Identify Fake Naira Notes

Identify Fake Naira Notes, Fake Naira Notes

The use of counterfeit naira banknotes for buying and selling in Nigeria is no longer news. Every day, buyers and sellers complain that they discover that the invoices with which they were paid are fake or fake.

These differences are not hidden; they are there only if you look well enough, even for an untrained eye.

You should also take advantage of the fact that the use of forgeries is punishable by the Constitution of Nigeria, regardless of whether you know about it or not, because “ignorance is not an excuse in court.”

Ways to Identify Fake Naira Notes

Here are the five most effective ways to identify Fake naira notes:

1. Go to the stream

Each note of Naira has this thin strip that runs from the top to the base. What you can see is just a double, but not the real thing.

2. Use water or a liquid such as gasoline

To find out the counter, a decorated currency, immerse yourself in water and gently wash your palm; you will see how the colors and watermarks are washed away. However, this note will not look like this if it is immersed in water or other liquid.

3. Use mercury lamps

Thus, one can easily recognize the notes of Naira. Some features of the notes of Naira cannot be seen with the naked eye. These features are present only in the original notes of the Naira, and they can only be seen with the help of mercury lamps. Place the corresponding naira bill under a working mercury lamp. On a genuine 1000 yen bill, you will see the inscription “1000 yen” written across it in a neon yellow shade. The light bulbs will pick up any features that human eyes may not see.

4. Check the gold foil

The N1000 banknote has a gold foil on the right side next to the signature of the CBN manager. You should keep in mind that it will peel off if you remove the foil from a fake banknote.

Therefore, if the above option number two is too complicated for you and you are holding a banknote N1 000, you should try to remove the foil. If it peels off, it means that it is fake.

5. Paper quality and color

While fakes are made from ordinary paper, real money is made from pieces of exceptional quality. When you feel the quality of the fake paper, you will find that it is just ordinary paper. The colors of the fakes also give this away. The drawings on fakes are more blurred, spotted, and sometimes darker than on real paper money.
